Manik's Story

Manik comes from Talpukuria, Gopalgonj.  He has one brother and one sister. He wants to be a police officer when he grows up. He enjoys reading and playing sports. His favorite subject in school is Moral Education class.  Manik's father is Daniel Hazra and mother is Rina Hazra. Father is a day laborer and mother is a housewife.  They do not have any land of their own to cultivate, so they must work for other people.  The family income is less than the family needs. Monthly income is approximately $23.00. Manik understands that he must do well in his studies. His family does not have the means to help him stay at this boarding school.
