Ritu's Story

Ritu's family is from an indigenous tribal group in Bangladesh. Tragically, Ritu's father passed away leaving her mother as the sole provider for the family. As she does not have any training or special skill, the mother must work long hours as a day laborer which does not provide much income. Since the father's death, the family has had to struggle more with each passing month.

Ritu loves school, and is an excellent student. She is so grateful for an opportunity to work toward furthering her education.
