Levi's Story

Pretty and Mazharul met and enjoyed each others company. Before long Mazharul asked Pretty if she would become a Muslim and marry him. Pretty was a Hindu but loved Mazharul so she said she would become one. After she became a Muslim they were married. Before long Pretty was pregnant with twins. When Mazharul did not come home many evenings Pretty wondered where he was. When she found out he had another wife who had children, she was devastated. As time went on he would come home drunk and beat her. One evening he came home and told her she needed to leave and take her twins with her. She took her babies and went to live with her mother. She told us her husband divorced her and cared nothing about what happened to his children. Pretty wanted to work and take care of her children, but it was not possible. When she heard about Bangla Hope, she came to our campus and asked us to take them. Levi and Lexi are now a part of our group of special children at Bangla Hope.
